Prepare 1 cup milk

Prepare For husli:
Get 1 onion diced
Take 3 green chillies
Make ready 2 red chillies
Take Few curry leaves
Get Handful coriander leaves
Get 2 tablespoons fresh grated coconut
Take 1 teaspoon mustard and jeera
Take 1 tablespoon oil
Instructions to make Milk upsaar:
Pressure cook all grains with salt for 4 whistles. Chickpeas should be soaked before cooking. After cooking strain water and keep.
Fry chillies with oil for 5 mins.
Burn the tamarind in flame for 1 min. And grind all ingredients under masala with salt to a smooth paste like chutney don't add more water.
This masala can be used as chutney with roti or can mix with rice, ghee and have. Can be stored for a week with out refrigeration.
Transfer masala to a box. Take 1 tablespoon of it grind with 1 tablespoon of cooked grains to a smooth paste. Add to the water strained from cooked grains. Check taste add salt, tamarind juice and masala according to your taste.
Boil the mixture till raw smell goes. Switch off the stove. After it cools little add milk.
In a pan heat oil add mustard and jeera. After mustard start popping add chillies and curry leaves. Add onions after onions are done add coconut. Add grains mix well add salt if required. Note:already added for cooking grains.
Add chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice.
