  2. Prepare 2 tbsp Oil
  3. Take 1 tsp Mustard seeds

  6. Prepare 1 tsp Channa dal
  7. Make ready 10 Curry leaves
  8. Prepare 1 tbsp Peanut
  9. Take 1 Onion Chopped finely
  10. Get 1 tsp Ginger chopped finely
  11. Make ready 1 Green chilli sliced
  12. Prepare 1 Tomato chopped finely
  13. Make ready 1 cup Broad beans sliced
  14. Make ready 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  15. Get Pinch Hing
  16. Make ready 2 tsp Sambar powder
  17. Make ready As needed Salt
  18. Prepare 2 tbsp grated coconut
  19. Make ready leaves To garnish Coriander
  20. Prepare 1 tsp Gingelly oil

It should not be sticky or paste like. Adding little Ghee while cooking rice will make it non-sticky. Drain the beans, then tip into ice-cold water and leave to cool. Remove the beans from their skins and set aside.

Instructions to make Broad beans Rice:
  1. Heat wide pan add oil. Once hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Once mustard splutter add urad dal, channal dal. Once channa dal slightly roasted add curry leaves and peanuts. Roast them now nicely. - - Now add chopped onion, ginger. Add little salt and saute for couple of minutes. Add chopped tomatoes. Now add broad beans, turmeric and hing. Add sambar powder, close with lid and cook until it turns mushy.
  2. Once oil starts to come out add enough salt. Now mix the rice thoroughly. Garnish with grated coconut, coriander leaves and 1 tsp of gingelly oil. - - Excellent lunchbox recipe to make it quickly..
